Jeff Troesch
Mental Training Coach

Jeff Troesch is an internationally recognized expert in mental skills training. He has been actively involved in training athletes and other elite performers since 1988. In the 1990s, Jeff served for nearly five years as Director of Mental Training or

David Leadbetters’ Golf Academies, where he was instrumental in assisting in the development of their comprehensive training programs and methodology.

At GGGA, Jeff works with students to develop optimal training plans and developmental strategies. His expertise yields focused preparation on the mental aspects of the game, giving students the tools to thrive under competition conditions.

He works with several current touring golf professionals as well as the UCLA and Cal Poly golf program and the women’s golf team at Cal-Berkeley. Jeff’s golf clients have won events on the PGA, LPGA, European, Nationwide, Asian, and Futures tours, as well as NCAA, amateur and AJGA winners.

Jeff has also worked with a variety of other sports teams and organizations including the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers, the NBA, the US Soccer Federation and many other professional, collegiate, and amateur sport programs.

Jeff's work has been featured in Golf Digest, Golfweek, Golf World, Golf and Asian Golf magazines, Baseball America, Fox Sports "Going Deep", Gillette Sports Week, Wide World of Sports, Tennis Magazine and is an monthly online columnist for Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Bill Meyer, Ph.D.

Dr. Bill Meyer brings an extensive and varied background to the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy team. As a Behavioral Scientist, he authored the award winning

"Unlocking Our Potential" - a Personal and Professional Development Program. As an Administrator, for over 25 years he has been President of the Washington Junior Golf Association that services over 1,500 juniors annually, in addition to serving on several associations' Board of Directors.

As a player, he was elected into Seattle University's Hall of Fame for his collegiate career, has been a scratch player for 40 years, is the winner of 14 Club Championships, and recently won two Northwest Senior Amateur Championships.

As a Division I college coach, his teams won 8 Conference Championships in his 12 years of college coaching.

As a Sports Psychologist for over 30 years, he has taught, coached and/or guided thousands of successful athletes - including Golfweek's recently ranked #1 U.S. Amateur, #3 World Amateur, and recipient of the 2009 Ben Hogan Award for the 2009 Collegiate Player of the Year, Kyle Stanley, and also the 2008 USGA Junior Champion and AJGA's recently ranked #1 Junior, Cameron Peck.

As a strong believer in human potential, he has coached, taught, researched, tested, and played his way toward discovering the best "results-oriented" tools and techniques for both golf and life.

     
Adam Thompson

Adam has had a passion for sports his entire life and played collegiate golf and basketball at MATC in Wisconsin. In 2008, Adam received degrees in golf course business management and sports psychology from the Professional Golfers

Career College and joined the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy as an assistant coach. Now as Director of Sales & Recruitment, he enjoys building relationships with students and their families and witnesses first-hand how dedication and commitment to personal improvement has a positive impact on young people’s lives.

Patty Clarkson
Director of Operations,
California Academy

Patty Clarkson is a professional educator who brings over 20 years of experience as an instructor, principal and administrator. She has established herself as a leader in

school development, including the establishment of a private school educational program. She oversees and directs the educational and housing aspects of student life at GGGA.

Patty received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Development and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. She is currently in her final year of the Joint Doctoral Program at University California Santa Barbara where she will earn a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.

She is a part-time instructor for the University of LaVerne and Chapman College in the Liberal Studies and Child Development departments.
